Slow Dance!

 I did NOT write this!!
 (just so there's no confusion!)

Slow Dance

this is a poem written by a
teenager with cancer

She wants to see how many people
get her poem.

This is quite the poem please
pass it on.
This poem was written by a terminally
ill young girl in new york
hospital.

It was sent by a medical Doctor-
make sure to read what it
says in the closing statement
AFTER the poem

Slow Dance
have you ever watched kids
on a marry-go-round?
or lisen to the rain
slapping on the ground?
ever follow a butterfly's
erratic flight?
or gaze at the sun into the
fading into the night?
better slow down
don't dance
so fast.
time is short.
the music wont last.
do you run through each day
on the fly?
when you are asked how
are you?
do you hear the reply?
when the day is done.
do you lie in your bed
with the next hundred chores
running though your head?
better slow down.
don't dance so fast.
time is short.
time is short
the music wont last.
ever told your child,
we'll do it tomorrow?
and in your hast
not see his sorrow?
every lost touch,
let a good friendship die
cause you never had the time
to call and say,"hi"
you better slow down
don't dance so fast
time is short.
the music wont last...
when you run so fast to get
somewhere
you miss half the fun of getting
there.
when you worry and
hurry through the day,
it's like an unopend gift...
throwen away
life is not a race..
do take it slower
hear the music
before it's over.......

Pass this on to everyone you know
and people you don't!
